Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Butter, chilled and diced
- 2 cups Fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Olive oil, for sautéing
- Optional: Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted, then remove from heat to cool slightly.
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl, then gradually incorporate diced butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add beaten eggs and mix until a dough forms.
- Mix wilted spinach, crumbled feta, and black pepper in a separate bowl.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness, cut into squares, and place a spoonful of filling in the center.
- Fold over to create a pocket, sealing edges with a fork.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling for a flakier texture. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
