Description
A no-bake dessert combining creamy peanut butter mousse and crunchy Oreo cookies, perfect for parties and celebrations.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (no-stir, not natural)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (cold)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 30 Oreo cookies (regular, about one package plus extra)
- 1/2 cup milk (for dunking)
- 1/4 cup hot fudge or chocolate ganache (room temperature, for drizzling)
- 6-8 peanut butter cups (chopped)
- A few crushed Oreos (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and creamy peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully combined.
- Dunk each Oreo cookie in milk for just a second to soften them, then layer them in the bottom of your dish. Spread a layer of the peanut butter mousse over the Oreos. Repeat the layers, alternating between Oreos and mousse until you reach the top of your dish.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
- Before serving, drizzle with hot fudge or chocolate ganache and top with chopped peanut butter cups and crushed Oreos.
Notes
Soften cream cheese to room temperature for smooth mixing. Letting the cake chill overnight deepens the flavors.
