Description

A delightful dessert that perfectly balances sweetness and texture with caramelized peaches and a soft, moist cake.

Ingredients

  • 4 Large peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a round cake pan, melt the butter over low heat, then sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  3. Arrange the sliced peaches on top of the sugar mixture.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
  7. Pour the batter over the peaches in the pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Choose ripe peaches for the best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to keep the cake fluffy.
