A flavor-packed marinade that brings a delightful blend of sweetness, smokiness, and tang, perfect for summer barbecues or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (e.g., Sweet Baby Ray’s)
- 1/4 cup Canola oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, freshly minced
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce (e.g., Kikkoman)
- 1 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 3 lb Chicken (thighs or breasts)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a large bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, canola oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Whisk until well mixed.
- Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Cook the Chicken: Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
Notes
For best results, marinate overnight. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness, aiming for an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
