Ingredients

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add milk while stirring.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then temper with a bit of the hot mixture. Add back to the saucepan and cook for another two minutes.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and butter until melted.
  5. In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding. Repeat layers, ending with pudding on top.
