Description
A delightful pizza featuring crispy crust, tangy BBQ sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 Pizza Dough, pre-made or homemade
- 1/8 cup Cornmeal
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce, divided
- 1 1/2 cups Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, cooked and chopped
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Smoked Gouda Cheese, shredded
- 1/4 small Red Onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil, for brushing on crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Roll pizza dough into a large circle on a floured surface and sprinkle cornmeal on the pizza pan.
- Combine the cooked chicken with 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce in a bowl. Set aside.
- Spread the remaining 1/2 cup BBQ sauce evenly on the dough, then add mozzarella cheese, BBQ chicken, sliced red onion, and gouda cheese.
- Brush the edges of the dough with olive oil.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro, slice, and serve.
Notes
Experiment with different BBQ sauces for unique flavors. Allowing the dough to rest briefly after rolling makes it easier to handle.
