Description

A tender and flavorful crockpot BBQ chicken that cooks slowly to meld all the rich flavors together, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/4 cup Barbecue sauce (preferably sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ)
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing (recommend fat-free)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup Light brown sugar (can reduce to 1/8 cup or omit)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick spray. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, and place it in the crockpot.
  2. Mix the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Pour over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated.
  3. Cook on high for 150-180 minutes or on low for 300-360 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Optionally, shred the chicken in the crockpot to soak up the sauce before serving. Serve on buns, salads, or as desired. Enjoy!

Notes

Don’t rush it! Cooking low and slow yields the most tender results. Use a quality barbecue sauce for the best flavor.
