Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

  3. Transfer the blueberry mixture to a buttered 8″ by 8″ baking dish.
  4. Cream together 1 cup flour, ½ cup butter, 1 cup sugar, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon baking powder using a pastry blender. Stir in ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the crumbled topping over the blueberry mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 55 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  7. Transfer to a wire rack to cool for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor, but frozen ones work well after thawing. Serve warm for enhanced flavor.
