Description

A hearty and nutritious beef bone broth, perfect for sipping or as a base for soups and stews.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Bones (beef or lamb)
  • 2-3 Celery stalks
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 5-6 Garlic cloves
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Herbs (parsley, coriander, rosemary, thyme) to taste

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients in a pan with 1.5 liters of water and bring to a boil.
  2. Lower the heat and allow it to slow cook for 180-300 minutes until you can see a thin layer of fat on top.
  3. Once ready, find a large, clean vessel to strain the broth into. Use a fine mesh strainer to pour the broth into the vessel and allow to cool for around an hour.
  4. Freeze in small portions and consume within a month.

Notes

Use roasted bones for enhanced flavor and skim fat regularly for a clearer broth.
